Biblical Dinners & Galilean Weddings

What is a Biblical Dinner?

What is a Galilean Wedding?

It’s the middle of the night. You’re startled awake by joyous shouting and a blast from a ram’s horn trumpet. The clamor grows as you rush to the window to see an approaching parade of noisy revelers with burning torches. A man crowned with laurel leaves leads the procession—and on a queenly litter carried above the revelers rides a veiled woman, splendidly adorned. The bridegroom has come for his bride and the village rejoices. There’s going to be a wedding…!

The Biblical Dinner is full of surprises…

  • Remarkable historical revelations from the The Last Supper
  • Long-forgotten meal customs that unlock the Scriptures
  • The startling significance of the Last Supper seating arrangements
  • The life-altering implications of a simple piece of bread
  • The same kind of food Jesus and His disciples ate at a feast
  • Ancient mealtime manners, customs, greetings and gestures
  • What really happened at the Last Supper and what it means to us today

The Galilean Wedding shed new light on…

  • Prophecies of the end of the world revealed in a Biblical wedding
  • The huge implications in the Cup of Communion
  • The forgotten significance of a Biblical covenant
  • The immeasurable love of Christ for His Church
  • God’s powerful design and intention for marriage

My Deepest Appreciation to…

…the scholars and associates at the Biblical History Center, (especially Elfie, Barbara, Hannaniah Pinto and Dr. Jim Fleming) for inspiring this ministry; to my friend Gayle Erwin, who opened my eyes to the nature of Jesus, and to Dr. Rachel Roubin, who guided me in the right direction. I encourage you to visit the Biblical History Center website to meet the people who have guided me on this journey. —Jay

  1. Does Jay have any plans to come back to the UK or Northern Ireland in the near future? If not, is there any way the Biblical Dinner could be replicated by someone local? I have been to the Biblical Dinners with Jay on 4 occasions – never tire of it – it is just amazing.
I would love to be able to allow folks in our fellowship the wonderful experience.

  3. Hi Jay.

A number of years ago I participated in your biblical dinner. I cooked one of a number of lamb stews. Your website used to have a receipe for the lamb stew and I wondering whether you would provide that receipe, assuming you still have the receipe, to me for a dinner I’d like to prepare.

    Thanks Jay

    Jim
