“Nearness to God, Likeness to Christ, Love to Others, Hope to the World”

Here at Calvary, we believe the church is the one living thing on earth that lives solely for the benefit of others. Until His returns, Jesus expresses His love to His church and to the world through His followers. There ya go.

When Christians first gathered together, they worshiped God in song, prayer, Scripture reading and loving each other. Here at Calvary we want the same…

We worship God by loving others—this is most like Jesus (John 13:34-35)
We worship God in song—it inspires thanksgiving and praise (Ps. 9:1-2)
We worship God in Bible teaching—He speaks to us from His Book (2 Tim. 4:2)
We worship God by obeying Him—He speaks, we do (Jn. 15:10, James 2:26, 1 Jn. 2:3-6)
We worship God in prayer
—it’s the door to intimate fellowship with Him (Heb. 4:16)
We practice Communion & Baptism—they remind us of Him (Acts 2:38, 1 Cor. 11:23-26)
We emphasize Jesus as Lord—as Creator, He’s clearly in charge (Phil. 2:5-11)
…and, in the tradition of the early church, we love to eat together.
Here are our beliefs and values

Looking forward to meeting you!

“Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them.” —Nehemiah 8:12
