The Church at Thyatira ‘tolerated’ a prophetess who fostered idolatry among them—after all, how could Jesus have a problem with that—it’s such a small thing and it makes the people happy. The church, however, belonged to Jesus, and He had other ideas about such things—things that sound painfully like an ultimatum to the church today. (Rev. 2:18-29)
