| What folks are saying about the Biblical Dinner... |

"I want to underline in print what I said in person about your presentation of the Biblical meal – it was excellent. It was so obvious that you have done your homework and presented it with great passion, personality and ability. I can only give you top marks on every aspect of the presentation. You have an outstanding ministry and I count it a privilege to have been present..."
Desi Maxwell, Lecturer in Biblical Studies, Belfast Bible College |

“I’ve been a Christian for over 20 years, a pastor for over 10 years, and I’ve never seen anything like this. Pastor Jay’s Biblical Dinner was an incredibly wonderful experience. A definite must...”

"I attended the Biblical Dinner at Bethel Baptist Church in Santa Rosa tonight.Thank you so much for listening to the voice of the Lord when He put it in your mind to present these Biblical Dinners. It was obvious that His annointing is on you to do these performances. I have been walking with Christ for over 30 years and have been to numerous Christian events. But this Biblical Dinner was the best Christian event I have ever attended. Thank you for the time you invested researching this subject and making it as authentic as possible. I will remember this night and what you taught forever. Thank you again for your willingness to serve the Body of Christ."

"Jay McCarl's "Biblical Dinner" presentation was outstanding. It was if we were there in Biblical times, enjoying this most festive occasion. Sit back and get ready for one of the greatest spiritual blessings in all of God's Word…”

"Folks were buzzing at Church yesterday with thanks and comments about the Biblical Dinner. “It felt like Jesus was there with us.” “We could feel God’s presence.” Several mentioned they would like to organize another…"

"I was invited to attend a biblical dinner back in October of '05 at the Veterans Bldg in Sebastopol, CA. Not knowing what I was about to experience and what God was going to show me...I cannot express how blessed I was. The way scripture took on a new light and the passion of Jesus, the meaning behind customs, meals, bread and feeding one another. I was filled and flooded with an overwhelming joy that continues to impact me and my life w/ Christ today. It was an evening of blessing that changed my life, and I hope everyone can experience a biblical dinner for themself"

"Thank you again for your ministry to us – we have had so many people from the two nights who have been “wowed” by the evenings. I know that they have been inspired and encouraged to dig into the Word and think again seriously about their relationship with the Lord. I think it is hard to estimate the “eternal” impact but there was a sense that The Holy Spirit was moving in lives. Give our greetings to your church fellowship and convey our thanks to them for “letting you go” to visit with us. They have been generous…!"
-- Victor Hughes, Glenabby Church, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland |

"The Biblical Dinner was a real blessing. The pastor and worship leader in the [Mexicali] prison commented how they thought they knew a little bit about the Bible, but after the dinner they saw the Bible in a whole new light and realized that they really did not know anything yet. There were others [inmates] who had divisions and problems between them. When Pastor Jay invited them to reconcile, they did so right there during the meal. It is always beautiful to see the Body of Christ being healed and edified. As for me, I was especially ministered to by the teaching about Peter. When he did not do his job [at the table], the Lord not only did Peter’s job for him, but cared for him as well…Here the Lord reminded me to be a servant.”
-- Pastor Juan Barillaro, Calvary Chapel, Mexicali, Mexico |

“We have been blessed to have Pastor Jay McCarl visit us here in Sydney on two occasions, and both times the highlight of his ministry with us has been the "Biblical Dinner". At first we weren't sure what a Biblical Dinner was, but we had attendance and it had a big impact. Thesecond time we had to have two sessions because of word of mouth publicity. This was HUGE!...One of the things that make the Biblical Dinners so effective is the personality of the host Jay McCarl. Our people warmed to his warm and enthusiastic approach. Then there was his obvious love of the subject matter. It is obvious that Jay has a personal interest in the life and times of Jesus and this makes the Bible come alive in his presentation. As he walks the participants through the dinner, and explains the customs of the time, Jay is able to present the Gospel in a fresh and effective way to people of all cultures. My people invited both non-Christian friends as well as believers from other churches, and all were impacted…”

“…Let me tell you, it was awesome. We all sat at tables much like what first-century folk reclined at and ate a first-century style feast, while Jay taught on the significance of what was going on, and the cultural nuances. It REALLY brought tremendous light to bear on the Scripture for me! Wow!!! I would strongly urge any pastor to have Jay come and do a ‘Biblical Dinner’ at your church (plus the food is great)!”
-- Pastor Mike Macon, Calvary Chapel of Muskegon, Michigan |

“We wanted to write you a thank you note to tell you how much we appreciated your church coming down to do an authentic Biblical Dinner for us here in El Centro. People were delighted not only with the ambience, the variety of the food and the excellence of the service, but also the profoundness of your teaching, which transported us back to Biblical times, its customs, it’s real meaning. You brought a new light to the Scriptures, and helped us understand many passages that had been a mystery to us before. Your knowledge of the Bible, Israel and Biblical times and customs were a blessing unto us, as we are sure they are also in Italy, Australia, Mexico and all the other places you have been a blessing to. Thank you again, and come back soon to bless us!”
-- Associate Pastor Steve Messick, Christ Community Church, El Centro, California |

“…It was an awesome experience that truly makes the Scriptures come alive. It is always so amazing how the Lord can use such ordinary things, such as eating, to find more ways of revealing Himself…”
-- Marc & Traci Matthews, Phelan, California |

“Attending the Biblical Dinner opened my eyes to the cultural significance of many of the Scriptures I had only casually passed by. It was a night of true spiritual ground breaking!”

“Have you had an experience of the Last Supper? Well, we did. Jay McCarl from the Calvary Chapel of Georgetown Divide came down to present what he calls A Biblical Dinner. An incredible time discovering all the things in-between the verses that tell us about the last meal Jesus celebrated with His disciples, including, of course, Judas. Using reproduction lamps from the first century, our living room was transformed into the upper room. With all sorts of food and even a lamb stew (a poor man’s meal in Israel) we learned about the positioning of each person at the table and its importance, Jewish traditions of greetings and responsibilities and the heart of Jesus in His desire to reconcile us to the Father. We did the dinner three different nights with a total of about 45 people in all. Jay also shared on Sunday morning with the Calvary fellowship. So well, was the Dinner received, we are in hopes that Jay will return so that we can open this ministry up to other churches...”

“What is a Biblical supper? It borders on being a cross-cultural experience -- except that you don't leave your country of origin. Walking into the room where you will share a special meal with others, and then to find out that you must suspend what is familiar and take on customs, table manners and even modes of conversation that are quite different from a regular North American family meal will either launch you on an adventure or plunge you into two hours of discomfort as youwish to return to the familiar. Accept the challenge to experience a taste of culture shock! And while you are about it, allow your mind to be assaulted with understandings that never present themselves with mere paper and ink. It's our famous cliché –"hands on" – made very real!! No doubt about it, it will be hands on, and if your heart is open, it will be mind expanding (no, not a drug!) and heart warming. Allow yourself to be transported to another time and place, and open your eyes to see things you never dreamed were hidden in the simplicity and beauty of our Bible, our Salvation, our Lord.”
