Frequently asked questions about the Biblical Dinner

Is the Biblical Dinner or Biblical Dinner a Passover Seder or Paschal Feast?

  • No. The Biblical Dinner is a non-denominational presentation that incorporates elements of many different ancient feasts including the Passover, focusing especially on the historical Last Supper.

How can my church or organization have a Biblical Dinner?

  • If you or your church/organization would like host a Biblical Dinner, just click here to e-mail pastor Jay, or call 530-823-1622 (our Calvary Chapel office) to request a calendar date. We highly recommend you consider dates other than for the Easter/Passover Holidays, as the Biblical Dinner is effective year round.

How much does it cost to present a Biblical Dinner?

  • The Biblical Dinner is presented on a love-offering basis only, as it is our express desire that anyone wishing to experience this ministry not be denied due to any financial burden.

What does my church/organization need to do to prepare for a Biblical Dinner?

  • Typically, the church or organization presenting the feast will purchase all the food and supplies (listed in our "How to Present a Biblical Dinner " packet), because their people will know where to obtain items locally and at the best prices. This usually comes to about $5-$10 per person depending on local prices and food choices.
  • If your church is within driving distance (about six hours distant or less), Pastor Jay will be able to bring nearly all the needed supplies (not including the food) for the presentation. If Pastor Jay should have to fly to your area, he will be limited to bringing with him only certain necessary props.

How far will Pastor Jay travel to present a Biblical Dinner?

  • Pastor Jay will gladly travel anywhere: locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally, to present a Biblical Dinner. If you cannot afford travel costs, Pastor Jay will come anyway, without obligation - all you need to do is ask. For multiple day presentations, scheduling may require arranging dates several months in advance; international presentations may require a little longer, as Jay is a full-time pastor and must carefully arrange his absences from his church.
