Biblical Dinner Bibliography

BibliographyI am frequently asked where I discovered all this fascinating insights presented during a Biblical Dinner and the Biblical Wedding Feast. It began with my friend Gayle Erwin, who, at a pastor's conference I was attending, presented a Bible study unlike anything I had ever heard concerning the seating arrangements at Last Supper. Later, while touring Israel with Gayle, we stumbled upon a facility near Jerusalem called "Biblical Resources," where students of Dr. Jim Fleming presented a live version of the same Bible study in the form of an ancient Biblical meal. The information gleaned from these remarkable sources became a key that unlocked so many of the subtleties of Scripture, and (for me) transformed the Bible into a "pop-up book." The data, however, needed to be verified, and thus began the journey. I soon discovered that many modern scholars and Bible teachers had been forced to presume upon the meaning of certain Biblical customs and mores, as the bulk of this significant material had been, over the course of the last century, seriously neglected. As people gradually lost interest in such matters, some important books were not reprinted, while many other volumes languished on the dusty shelves of second-hand book shops and university libraries. But the data, as illusive as it had become, remains accessible, and archeologists and historians continue to dig. Because of passionate investigators like Gayle Erwin and Dr. Fleming, there has again materialized a swelling interest in Biblical backgrounds, a curiosity about the texture of the canvas upon which was painted the colorful accounts of the Bible. Thus, verification is both possible and expedient. The following is a partial list of resources, both common and rare, that provoked the content of these Feasts. Blessings, Pastor Jay

Jesus Loves You!
*This author, though a laudable scholar, espouses the Documentary Hypothesis, a field which denies the mircaulous and the voice of God in the Scriptures, and with which I thoroughly disagree. His empirical data, however, is superb, even though his contextual interpretation of such is questionable at best.
