“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To him be glory both now and forever.  Amen!”  (2 Peter 3:18)

Tice"It is our desire to minister to the needs of the women in our church body, to encourage them in their Spiritual growth, and to equip them to serve others, with Jesus Christ as their supreme example."

As we read the Bible, we find that a woman of God is both a handmaiden of the Lord and a powerful influence in His loving hands. Here at Calvary Chapel Women's Ministry we desire to foster an environment for the women of the church to experience meaningful fellowship and strong spiritual growth through ongoing Bible studies, discipleship, worship, prayer, and (of course) lots of fun!

Here you will be able to find out who is involved in what, what is available for ladies through our church, and keep posted on upcoming events and happenings. Sometime soon, we plan to have messages, poems, and other articles of interest on this site to further minister to women in the love, grace and knowledge of Christ.

Other Fellowships

Mountain/Road Bike Fellowship Group:  Come join us! This is a group of men, women and kids who get together on various weekends to get some fun exercise and enjoy good, wholesome fellowship in God's backyard. There is no age limit and all fitness levels are encouraged to come. God willing, we will have a Mountain Bike/Road Bike Fellowship webpage with pictures and information on upcoming bike trips and other pertinent information available sometime in the future. A signup sheet is on the foyer table for those who want to join. You do not have to be part of this church or be a Christian to participate, but it is a Christian fellowship group, so if you join us, you will be fellowshipping in a strong, fun-loving Christian environment and getting a good work out in the process. Get a hold of Jane Barnhart for more information (530-823-1622).

Fellowship Dinners:  Fellowship Dinners have started once again. Fellowship Dinners provide an opportunity for singles and/or couples to get together at each other's homes for dinner and fellowship. This is a great way to get to know our brothers and sisters in Christ better while breaking bread with one another. There is a signup sheet on the foyer table for all who might be interested in joining. We are looking for someone to head this fellowship up, so if you are interested, please let Jim Milne  or Jane Barnhart know.

Monthly Meetings

Many ladies are diligently serving our church family and others on the Georgetown Divide through various means such as Sunday School, the nursery, FOCUS, the Progress House, the Food Closet, the Coffee House, the Missions Ministry, Samaritan’s Purse, Hidalgo Christmas Bag Drive, the Out to Lunch Bunch, and Bible Studies along with hosting and planning the various women’s or church-wide events. This is only a partial listing of how the women in our church are reaching out in their service to the Lord.

Sharing with one another what is happening in our ministries and addressing needs within them is an important aspect of the Women’s Ministry meetings along with planning fellowship events to encourage the women to get to know one another better by sharing in some good, wholesome fellowship. Both the Women’s Support Group and the 'Be Ye Transformed' Bible Study were ideas set in motion during the Women’s Ministry meetings.

If you are ministering in any way to the body of Christ and others around you, you are part of the Women’s Ministry. I encourage you to join us for the monthly meetings. If you are new to our church body or you have been here awhile but want to know how you can further serve the Lord within the Women’s Ministry, come to our monthly meetings.

We are not just a church but a family, brothers and sisters in Christ working together as the body of Christ in worshipful service to the glorifying of God the Father. We must all work together to see that the fullest Glory of God is achieved. If we are to work together then we must come together, communicate with one another and support one another. The Men’s and Women’s Ministry Meetings are just one step toward this end, but it is an important one.

Kathee has many new ideas on how to better minister to the needs of the ladies of our church. Come to the monthly Women's Ministry Meetings and find out what's up and how you might be blessed and be a blessing through the Women's Ministry here at Calvary Chapel on the Georgetown Divide.

Other Stuff

We are in the process of reshaping the Women's Ministry. At the Women's Ministry Kick-Off in September, we will be handing out a questionnaire asking ladies what kind of Ministry Events and Fellowship Events we should provide to our church body. We ask all ladies to prayerfully fill the questionnaires out and return them to Kathee, Vanessa, or Jane.
