The Scriptures reveal to us that he is many things, all of them resembling Jesus Christ. Men of God are humble others-centered servants, Godly husbands and fathers, faithful men full of integrity and personal holiness, men of initiative who are busy about the Lord’s business, men of the church and men of prayer. They are leaders and providers for their families, loving their wives as Christ loves His church, bringing up his children in the Lord. And the list goes on! Sound Impossible? It’s not. Jesus said, “If any man come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.” King Solomon said, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” This is why Christian men, to grow strong in their faith, must have Godly fellowship with one another and an active outlet for their God-ordained ministry as men. Here at Calvary Chapel Georgetown Divide, our Men’s Ministry seeks to foster just such as atmosphere by encouraging active involvement in the very things toward which men are naturally drawn: leading, building, fixing, and food! |
