Calvary Chapel Audio Duplication Ministry
 

CDPurpose and Vision: To provide for the Body of Christ at Calvary Chapel qualityCD's (quickly and for a minimum cost) of all messages and sermons given by the pastor and any guest speakers, that the teaching of the Word of God might enrich the church and spread the Gospel.

 

Responsibilities of the Audio Duplication Ministry (ADM) Overseer:

  1. Have a complete understanding of the ADM, audio library, and CD recording procedures.
  2. Maintain the highest possible quality of CD duplication, labeling CD's, filing master CD's, etc., including careful and direct supervision of the ADM volunteers for each service.

    Recruit new volunteers as necessary.
  4. Order ADM supplies (bulk CD's, labels, soft poly boxes) through the church office as necessary.
  5. Frequently inspect CD recording quality.
  6. INFORM THE CHURCH OFFICE IMMEDIATELY if there are any problems with any of the duplicators.

ADM Procedures

Hours of Operation:

  1. Be at the ADM area no later than 15 minutes prior to the service, to insure enough time to prepare the recorder and computer for recording.
  2. Be aware that the duplication process can last up to a half an hour or more and should be completed by Wednesday following the service.

The People We Serve:

  1. Remember that the ADM is a ministry of service to the Body of Christ. Treat anyone requesting anything of you with the utmost courtesy and respect, no matter how demanding or impatient they may seem.
  2. Do your best to provide a person with the CD they are requesting at the time they ask for it. If that is not possible, ask them to sign up in the lobby for the requested recording, and when and where the CD will be ready to be picked up.

If Duplicating Tapes:

  1. Make sure you have the correct tapes! Master tapes should always be the black C-65 tapes, duplicates must always be the white C-65 Tapes. If the bulk tapes in the duplication area do not fit this description, contact the ADM overseer or church office immediately! (There are also various 90 minute tapes in the ADM area; these are used only in special circumstances)

What to Duplicate:

  1. Copies of the Immediate service, as requested on the sign-up sheet in the lobby, to be picked up on the following Sunday morning.
  2. Copies of any other messages requested by anyone in need of a particular CD.
  3. Suggested donation for tapes are $2 each and Cds, $3, unless otherwise specified.

Maintenance Procedures:

  1. ONLY ADM PERSONELL ARE ALLOWED IN ADM AREA.
  2. For tape duplication: clean duplicator heads, capstans, pinch rollers, and demagnetize heads before every service**
  3. Make sure duplication area is clean and orderly and that all master CDs are filed properly, all duplicates are in their proper places, all trash and excess labels are disposed of and the trash emptied, and dust covers are on the machines.
  4. Report any supply shortages to the ADM overseer or the church office immediately.

**There is a noticeable difference in the audio quality of each CD when these when these procedures are not followed!

TIME, AVAILABILITY OF SUPPLIES ALONG WITH CAREFUL MAINTAINANCE ARE ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL IN MAINTAINING A HIGH QUALITY AUDIO DUPLICATION MINISTRY.
